The assembled K-51 grenade model is an inert training device for demonstrating and practicing mine and explosive safety rules without risk to trainees. It is used to teach how to recognize hand grenades by their external features, correctly assess the danger of a find, and reinforce key behaviors: do not touch, do not move, do not “check,” but immediately move away and notify the appropriate services.
- Inert: no explosives, intended solely for training and demonstrations.
- Realistic appearance for training in recognition in the field and indoors.
In practice, it is convenient to use in “visible threat detection” scenarios — so that participants can practice their actions and remember that even brief contact with ammunition can be fatal.
