The assembled training model of the PFM-1 “Petal” anti-personnel mine is designed for mine safety training, engineering training, and informing civilians about the dangers of mines. Thanks to its realistic shape and size, the model helps explain why the small “petal” is particularly dangerous, how it may look on the ground, and why children and adults often do not perceive it as ammunition.
